When I had two low beach chairs and wanted to use them in our yard, I decided to build two risers so they would be normal chair height. I took 1 - 2x6x10 and 1- 2x4x10 which were notched for both the base lumber and the chair legs, attached them with screws and glue and placed them in the yard and it worked out well !
